Born and anchored in Saint-Marcellin in the Dauphiné, Le Dauphin is renowned throughout the world for its high-end lighting fixtures, a guarantee of French craftsmanship. Created in 1966 by Maurice Tournu, a native of Saint-Marcellin, the small lampshade factory, rapidly diversified in lighting, was soon successful. A first factory was built in 1970. In the 1980s, more than 250 employees worked there: the brand became an international benchmark in the lighting market, the new models invented by its style office were still very much awaited: every year, a hundred new lamps renew its catalog, rich of 500 different references.
