Timeless Venetian style with this Baloton blown crystal glass and rusted metal cage sconce from the classic Piazza collection. The half-cut sconce has a generous, rounded shape and a rusted metal filament structure consisting of a truncated cone with an inflated section at the top. The diffuser is made of blown glass using the Baloton crystal technique. This unique process, emblematic of the art of Murano glassmaking, consists of blowing hot glass directly into a metal structure before it solidifies, creating the quilted effect of the glass and rhomboid shapes on the outer surface. It's this special process that gives the glass its semi-transparent texture and fluid feel, making each model unique, with slight variations inseparable from the craftsmanship. The small metal flower that crowns the lamp is also made of rusted metal.
Siru brilliantly navigates between art and craftsmanship, its fascinating lamps, reminiscent of the splendor of a bygone Venice, are handcrafted in the kiln using ancient Venetian techniques of blowing and coloring molten glass.
The collection also includes a wall lamp with the reference 23060018 and a pendant lamp available in amber glass with the reference 23060019 and in crystal glass with the reference 23060020.
Dimensions: 34cm high, 21cm wide, 14cm protruding from the wall.
Light source is a 60W max E27 bulb, or LED equivalent, to be purchased separately.
