Born and anchored in Saint-Marcellin in the Dauphiné, Le Dauphin is renowned throughout the world for its high-end lighting fixtures, a guarantee of French craftsmanship. The signature of the Dauphin: a blend of classicism and modernity of good taste that has made the brand notorious for more than 50 years. Created in 1966 by Maurice Tournu, a native of Saint-Marcellin, the small lampshade factory, rapidly diversified in lighting, was soon successful. A first factory was built in 1970. In the 1980s, more than 250 employees worked there: the brand became an international benchmark in the lighting market, the new models invented by its style office were still very much awaited: every year, a hundred new lamps renew its catalog, rich of 500 different references. Ceramics remain a sure value for the brand but new materials are used like mirror, wood and optical glass. Each year, more than 50,000 lamps come out of the workshops of Saint-Marcellin. The Dauphin defends a know-how and an idea of ​​good French taste.
