Michael Anastassiades is a Chipriot designer based in London whose work explores industrial production techniques and craft. For over 20 years he has been designing lighting, furniture and decorative objects characterised by a poetic yet rigorous interpretation of technology, materials and function. Nature, ancient architecture, the island of Cyprus where he was born, the history of modernism, his personal memories, art and everyday life inspire the artist to create timeless forms and structures. The unique collection of mobiles uniquely associates the luminaire with the equilibrium sets of mobile suspensions.
