Lighting and vases in blown glass, constrained by metal, rope or leather

Vanessa Mitrani is a unique character in the current design and creative landscape. Unlike other artists of her generation who collaborate with various brands, Vanessa Mitrani, an expert in the manipulation of blown glass, creates, manufactures and distributes her own collections. For the past 15 years, she has been creating vases, lighting fixtures and other decorative objects based on her favourite themes: links, ties, constraints and glass. She experiments with the dialogue between glass and different materials such as metal, rope, leather or porcelain. She finds inspiration during her many travels around the world such as the pendant lamp Bundle, inspired by Indian rope methods or the white collection by Japanese porcelain. Her technical expertise and creativity were celebrated in 2015 by the entry of several pieces of her invention into the permanent collections of the Musée des Arts-Décoratifs.
