Seven-light chandelier including a central, triumphant swans decor - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers

Price: 4 356.00 € Incl. Tax

Sublime, this Empire-style solid bronze chandelier of seven lights including a flamboyant torch-shaped central. The six triumphant swans, bearing light, support imperial green bobeches whose color contrasts with the old gold finish of the birds. The marriage of these two finishes characterize the style of the time. Strength, power, conquering and victorious spirit emerges from this luster and its attractions. The eyes of the swans, the position of their wings, the daisies adorning the central body of the chandelier, all testify to the warlike enthusiasm of the time. The quality of realization of this chandelier is extreme. The detail of its decor is perfect, highlighted by the old gold finish that gives an extreme relief to the details like the feathers of the swans or the carved basins. This perfection is made possible thanks to the dexterity of the Maison Lucien Gau craftsmen who have mastered their art and passed it on for six generations. In the same spirit you can admire five-light sconces under the reference 16060107 or two lights under the reference 16060108 or another model of applies to one, two or three lights, visible under the respective references 16060110, 16060114 or 16060109.

Lucien Gau

Sublime classic style lighting, solid bronze and bohemian crystal

Founded in 1934, the company Lucien Gau is one of the most renowned French manufacturer of prestige lighting. Lucien Gau draws and manufactures in particular an exceptional range of chandelier, sconces and candlesticks of Dutch styles, Louis XIII, Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Directory, Empire and Restoration. The manufacture, of an exceptional quality, is entirely carried out in France. The craftsmen employed by Lucien Gau work, finish, assemble and apply a patina on solid bronze according to the most traditional methods, inherited from a long tradition of excellence. The bronzes are cast in a traditional way: for each model, the craftsmen sculpt the pieces of a luminaire, a reference copy. For each copy made from this model, a sand mold is made, in which cast bronze is poured. Broken during demolding, the mold is used only once. This process provides a unique finesse, and allows great freedom of drawing. Cooled then demolded, each piece undergoes a long finishing work: deburring, turning, chiselling of fine ornamental motifs, polishing and patina application are entirely done by hand, and require a unique know-how. The most frequently used patinas are old gold, matt tin, bright gold and antique. In Lucien Gau's collections, there are luminaries of great elegance and balance of form. Masterful chandelier or discreet applique, each model has the same quality of manufacture. Lucien Gau has made the lighting of many exceptional buildings, castles, ministries and palaces, all over the world. Really Beautiful is proud to be able to present you such a collection of luminaries, with exemplary design and quality.
