Louis XIV lamp gilded solid bronze gilded white lampshade
Patinated old gold lamp, striped patterns and acanthus leaf, pleated lampshade with fine gold braids - Lucien Gau - Table lamps
This beautiful Louis XIV-style lamp is made of solid bronze with an old gold patina and has a white, flat-folded shade decorated with fine gold braids. The base is the result of a remarkable sculptural work. Given the intertwined shapes of its various ornamental patterns, it is technically feasible only by the method - used for this lamp - of casting molten lead in a lost sand mould. All the finishing touches, including the application of the antique gold patina, are also done by hand in Lucien Gau's workshops in France.
Dimensions: Height 61cm, diameter 40cm.
Light source: a standard E27 screw bulb.
