An elegant, contemporary, minimalist design for the Dessau reading lamp in natural brass with high quality integrated LED lighting. The model consists of a T-shaped base topped by a square section tube and a lamp head set at 90 degrees to the base. This takes the form of an elongated triangular prism, positioned horizontally and containing the LED module. This directs the light towards the floor, ideal for reading. The base can be slid under an armchair or sofa to bring the light as close as possible to where it's needed. The natural brass finish develops a patina over time, making it a warm, elegant piece of furniture that's perfect for illuminating a reading corner. The floor lamp is supplied with a black power cord. Dessau also has an integrated dimmer switch with three possible intensities.
Dessau was designed by Visual Comfort collaborator Sean Lavin, who has won several design awards and is renowned for his sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic that incorporates the latest technological innovations. Established in 1987, the American brand Visual Comfort offers a wide range of contemporary and traditional lamps made of high quality materials.

The light source is a CRI>90 10W 548Lm 2700K LED module with an integrated dimmer.

The brand was officially launched in Houston, Texas in 1987 and quickly established itself as a different kind of lighting designer. Andy Singer, a former lighting salesman and the man behind the brand, didn't want to play the role of a distributor when the brand was conceived.
