Nautic is the trademark of the Belgian lighting manufacturer Tekna. Under the direction of its creator, Erik Huysman, Nautic designs and produces a range of luminaires of very high quality in terms of materials and assembly, made from pure materials: bronze (armament), cast iron, brass. From a stylistic point of view, Nautic is inspired by ancient forms of "luminaries" - candlesticks and lanterns - completely reworked and adapted to today's aesthetic and technical requirements. Nautic produces several models of patinated bronze lanterns. Particularly suitable for verandas, outside walls or at the entrance to a villa. The same style can also be found in many models of applications with a similar finish. Nautical lamps are sometimes fitted with clear and transparent glass, so that the bulb is directly visible. From an aesthetic point of view, the use of a compact fluorescent bulb is therefore strictly forbidden! A decorative bulb with an incandescent filament is highly recommended or, if this is not possible, a halogen bulb combined with the use of a dimmer.
