Louis XVI chandelier in gilded bronze, twenty lights
Stacked chandelier in solid bronze, patinated old gold, with twenty arms on several floors - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers
This sublime Louis XVI chandelier in solid bronze is terribly original. Equipped with twenty lights, patina in old gold, it is built on several floors which gives it a special originality. Originality accentuated by the fact that its branches are of two different inspirations in the purest Louis XVI style. A real geometric inspiration by reference to the ancient models for some and a reminder of this privileged relationship to nature by the placement of leaves on the scrolls down to the others. This alternation and contrast between curvatures and angles gives him strength and personality. This chandelier has an exceptional manufacturing quality. The bronze is cast in a sand mold whose unique use guarantees the accuracy of the decorations. It is fully worked, assembled and decorated by hand. Admire also the chain and the central body fruit of a work as meticulous as sought again taking again the classic elements peculiar to the Louis XVI style: links with almost geometric forms, central body sporting draperies, festoons and classical motifs. The billiards are all identical, bulging and worked in the form of cups flaring to let appear candles with flames to respect the style. With a chain height of 100cm and a diameter of 95cm, this chandelier requires a beautiful space to express all its qualities and a ceiling height of over 3 meters. The length of the chain can be adjusted during installation. There are similar chandeliers in smaller format, in twelve lights visible under the reference 16060026, in eight lights under the reference 16060033 or in six lights under the reference 16060037.
