Symmetry and elegance are the key words of the Palladiano collection, from which this beautiful 2-light chandelier wall lamp with a classic Venetian design is revisited with a contemporary eye, with its magnificent black Venetian crystal. The sconce is composed of two swan neck arms that spring from the wall mounted threading, each topped by a flared cup basin and a polished chrome finish metal candle cover that carry the bulbs. Made entirely of opaque black glass that almost looks like porcelain or metal, the luminaire impresses with its sleek, fluid design. The luminaire is a design by Barovier & Toso, which comes from a long line of master glassmakers dating back to the 14th century, perpetuating the family tradition and know-how, while introducing a modernist dimension and innovative aesthetics to the discipline of Murano glasswork.

Founded in 1295, Barovier&Toso is one of the oldest and most prestigious Murano glass factories in Venice. It was on this date that the first official document mentioning M. Barovier, a master glassmaker on the island of Murano, was found. A century and a half later, the House of Barovier entered the history books once and for all, thanks to Angelo Barovier's revolutionary invention of a material of extreme transparency and magnificent brilliance. What makes this formula unique and still in use today is the total absence of arsenic and lead in its composition. In 1455, Angelo Barovier was granted the exclusive right to produce 'Cristallo Veneziano' or Venetian crystal. The twentieth century was the second high point in the history of this great family, thanks to the personality and talent of Ercole, a prolific and gifted designer whose models are still the best references in the collection. Barovier&Toso chandeliers are of incomparable elegance and craftsmanship.
