For lovers of a certain sobriety without renouncing elegance, the Classique collection proposes this splendid 3-light Nymphéa table lamp with antique bronze finish and green painted metal shade. The model is composed of a base in the shape of three pretty stacked water lilies in patinated bronze, surmounted by a water lily flower from which the three arms of different sizes and the central stem of the base emerge. The arms also have a water-lily blossom in which is inserted a white sheath imitating a candle, and the three candles are surmounted by a single shade of green painted patinated lacquered metal with a gilded upturned edge and a white interior to reflect the light. Note the small key fixed above the shade to adjust its height, the function of which in the days of real candles was to adjust the height of the shade as the candles burned, or the small bud-shaped seed at the end of the central stem.
As the heir to a Parisian bronze workshop that has been in business since the 19th century, Lucien Gau demonstrates year after year the exceptional craftsmanship that has been built up and handed down from generation to generation by restoring, conserving and reproducing lighting fixtures using techniques that are faithful to the period in which they originated.
The collection also includes an 8-light chandelier with ref. 22050094, a 2-light wall lamp with ref. 22050095, a 2-light table lamp with ref. 22050096, a 6-light chandelier with ref. 22050097, a table lamp with ref. 22050099, a floor lamp with ref. 22050100, a single-light wall lamp with ref. 22050101 and an American bookcase lamp with ref. 22050102, as well as two other floor lamps with ref. 22050104 and 22050105.

Lucien Gau

Sublime classic style lighting, solid bronze and bohemian crystal

Founded in 1934, Lucien Gau is one of France's most prestigious lighting manufacturers. In particular, Lucien Gau designs and manufactures an exceptional range of chandeliers, sconces and candlesticks in the Dutch, Louis XIII, Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Directory, Empire and Restoration styles. The manufacture, of exceptional quality, is carried out entirely in France. The craftsmen employed by Lucien Gau work, finish, assemble and patinate solid bronze using the most traditional methods, inherited from a long tradition of excellence. The bronzes are cast in the traditional way: for each model, the craftsmen model the parts of a lamp, a reference copy. For each copy of this model, a sand mould is made into which the cast bronze is poured. The mould, which is broken when it is removed, is used only once. This process gives a unique finesse and allows great freedom of design. Once cooled and removed from the mould, each piece undergoes a long process of finishing: deburring, turning, chiseling fine ornamental motifs, polishing and patinating are all done by hand and require a unique know-how. The most commonly used patinas are old gold, matt tin, bright gold and antique. Lucien Gau's collections include luminaires of great elegance and balanced forms. Whether a masterful chandelier or a discreet appliqué, each model has the same manufacturing quality. Lucien Gau has illuminated many exceptional buildings, castles, ministries and palaces all over the world. Really Beautiful is proud to present such a collection of luminaires of exemplary design and quality.
