For lovers of sobriety without sacrificing elegance, this pretty 2-light wall lamp in brass and green lacquered metal is part of the Classic collection. The model has 2 swan-necked arms that extend from a central half-saucer resembling a water lily, decorated with a small, discreet seed. The arms are prolonged by a bobèche, representing a flower opening, to which the base of the lamp can be attached, disguised as a candle, giving the model an authentic appearance. The sheaths are surmounted by a conical shade in patinated green lacquered metal with gilded edges and a white interior to reflect the light effectively.
Lucien Gau, the French specialist in period restoration and conservation, is the heir to a 19th-century Parisian bronze smith and offers a vast collection of lighting fixtures meticulously crafted from precious metals using traditional high quality techniques.

Founded in 1934, Lucien Gau is one of France's most prestigious lighting manufacturers. Lucien Gau designs and manufactures an exceptional range of chandeliers and wall lights in the Dutch, Louis XIII, Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Directoire, Empire and Restoration styles. The craftsmen employed by Lucien Gau work, finish, assemble and patinate the bronzes using the most traditional methods, the heritage of a long tradition of excellence. The bronzes are cast by hand: for each model, the craftsmen model the parts of a lamp, a reference example. For each piece made from this model, a sand mould is made into which the molten bronze is poured. The mould is broken when it is removed and is only used once. This process produces a unique finesse and allows great freedom of design. Once cooled and removed from the mould, each piece undergoes a long process of finishing: deburring, turning, chiseling fine ornamental motifs, polishing and applying the patina are all done by hand and require unique expertise. The most commonly used patinas are old gold, matt pewter, bright gold and antique. Lucien Gau's collections include lights of great elegance and balance of form.
